WHAT IS YOGA?

Yoga is most commonly described as a combination of physical, mental & spiritual practices, which focuses on strength, flexibility and breath control, to improve overall wellbeing. But here, at Wakeup to Life we also like to describe Yoga as a Map - a map that shows you the way back to your true Self, liberating your body-mind organism from limiting conditioning & beliefs, one breath at a time.

The term yoga can be derived from either of two roots, yujir yoga ("to yoke") or yuj samādhau ("to concentrate") - it is commonly described as the union between body, mind & soul.
