CHINESE MEDICINE

People reside within QI

WHAT IS TCM?

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a style of traditional medicine based on more than 3,500 years of Chinese medical practice that includes various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage (tui na), exercise (qigong), and dietary therapy.

Rings a bell? Yes, the same way Ayurveda heals India with Yoga, foods & needles, so does TCM in Asia with Qigong, herbs & acupuncture. Same principles, same logic, just different words, outfits & spices ;)

WHAT ARE ITS PRINICPLES?

ALL IS ENERGY, ALL IS QI

One of the basic tenets of TCM is that the body's vital energy (ch'i or qi) is circulating through channels called meridians having branches connected to bodily organs and functions.

As Wong Kiew Kit puts it,

QIGONG therapy as well as other branches of Chinese Medicine can be reduced to two simple principles - the cleansing of meridians to achieve harmonious flow, and the restoration of yin-yang balance.
